Zeynep Derya Tarman is a full-time Professor at Koç University Law School. She teaches International Private Law and International Commercial Arbitration at the Law School. She also delivers Fundamentals of Contract Law, Dispute Resolution Methods and International Business Law in the Executive MBA program of which she conducts the law module, and the Executive Education Programs at GSB as well.
Derya Tarman holds a law degree from the University of Istanbul and LLM degrees in international business law in the Netherlands and Germany. Derya Tarman earned a PhD in Private Law at Constance University in Germany. She has been working as a full-time faculty member at Koc University Law School since 2007. After starting at Koc University she conducted research at Max Planck Institutes in Hamburg and Luxembourg. She took part in the Harvard University-Koç University Visiting Scholar Program and published her book on the applicable law on unfair competition.
