Cüneyt Demirgüreş is a Senior Lecturer at Koç University GSB, while acting as a member of the Board of Directors at Deva Holdings, Baytur (local distributor of Subaru, Infiniti, & Yokohoma) and Baylas (local distributor of Citroen). Prof. Demirgüreş lectures on Corporate Finance, Finance for Nonfinance Executives, Portfolio Management, Macroeconomic Analysis & Strategy within Graduate Programs (MBA, MMBA, MSc. Fin, EMBA), as well as Executive Education Programs. He is also a columnist of Forbes-Turkey. After having worked at Aselsan, TEB Yatırım, Ing-Barings, Eczacıbaşı Securities, Demir Yatırım, and Demirbank, he acted as the founding General Manager of Isvicre Asset Management during 2000-2007 period and the Head of Research at EFG Istanbul and Unicredit between 2007-2012. Prof. Demirgüreş, moved on to become a full-time lecturer at Koc University in 2012, after having lectured part-time since 2002.
Prof. Demirgüreş holds a B.S. degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the METU, an MBA degree from the Boğazici University, MSc.and Ph.D. in Finance degrees from the University of Alabama. Corporate finance, capital markets, company valuation and portfolio management are his major expertise areas. He has investigated the effects of macro and micro variables on asset valuations within his academic life. The research team of EFG Istanbul managed by Prof. Demirgüreş has won the “Best Research House” award from the Thomson Reuters Extel in 2010.
