Alp Atakan is an Associate Professor of Economics at Koç University. Assoc. Prof. Atakan is specialised in managerial economics, microeconomics, competitive strategy, and game theory. Prior to joining Koç in 2011, Assoc. Prof. Atakan worked as an Assistant Professor of Managerial Economics at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University for eight years. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University, a BS in Economics and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a Robert College graduate. Dr. Atakan also serves on the editorial board of the Review of Economic Studies. Assoc. Prof. Atakan’s research focuses on game theory, bargaining and marching theory, political economy, and economic theory in general. He has published his work in journals such as Econometrica, the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of Economic Theory, and Economic Theory.
